The Beginning
The Rundle Street store is built and begins trading as The Star Boot Manufactory. A humble start in the heart of Adelaide, laying the foundation for a footwear legacy in Adelaide's East End.
1921
The Judd and Whittenbury families take ownership of Grundy's Shoes.
With roots in Adelaide's shoe trade since 1868, the families bring tradition and passion to Grundy's Shoes, keeping the name and spirit alive.
1980s
Glenelg store opens.
A new store opens in Glenelg. Grundy's expands, bringing it's signature service and comfort-focused footwear to the coast.
2007
Victor Harbor store opens.
Our third store opens in Victor Harbor. A new chapter begins, serving locals and holidaymakers with the same care and quality.
