When you have to wear orthotics, you might often find it hard to find shoes that are also stylish! Here at Grundy’s Shoes, we have a huge range of footwear that are not only orthotic friendly, but trendy too.
Here are five of our orthotic friendly styles that will be perfect not only for summer, but all year round!
ECCO SOFT 7 430003
The SOFT 7 from ECCO combines comfort, style, and are orthotic friendly – making them the perfect everyday shoe. We stock them in a range of colours to suit different outfits and individual styles. They have a full anatomical last shape, and a removable leather covered insole for the option of either extra width, or the insertion of your own orthotics. They also have the ECCO Comfort Fibre System which provides a cool, hygienic environment.
The Australian brand that has taken the footwear world by storm, FRANKiE4 revolutionises the way footwear is designed, providing women with the ultimate foot supporting benefits while wearing on-trend designs.
We have a variety of orthotic friendly lace up sneakers including NAT, JACKiE and ELLiE, which all have a leather upper and lining and a removable footbed.
Each of these also comes with the FRANKiE4 Patented Custom Fit Assembly, which enables a wide to narrow fit.
The Custom Fit pack comes in its own bag in your shoebox. As well as the full length footbeds that are already in your pair of shoes, they include half-length footbeds and forefoot cushions. For a narrow fit, simply place a forefoot cushion underneath the full-length footbed at the front of the shoe. For a wider fit, remove the full-length footbed and replace it with the half footbed, to give you that extra room at the front of the shoe.
You can also leave the full length footbed in by itself, or if none of these work for you, you have the option to insert your own orthotics.
Part of the FRANKiE4 ACTiVE Collection is WiNNiE. She has a soft leather upper, as well as a removable footbed with the same Custom Fit Assembly as mentioned above.
All our FRANKiE4 sneakers are so stylish, no one will ever know you’re wearing orthotics!
Revere Shoes were built on the vision to create high quality orthopaedic shoes. Grundy’s Shoes stock a range of orthotic friendly summer sandals by Revere, that have uppers designed with maximum adjustability for the perfect fit.
As well as having a stable heel counter and ample arch support, the REVERE GENEVA has a removable footbed that has built-in arch support, and additional depth in the unit which allows the insertion of custom orthotics if needed. These also come with 4 strap extensions, to enable more of a customised fit if needed.
ARA LISSABON 12-34027
Orthotic friendly shoes don’t have to be clunky and boring. The ARA LISSABON is not only stylish and comfortable, it is also made with a flexible knitted upper with a HiFlex multi zone weave which adapts to every foot with no pressure points.
Already packed with support with padded insoles and an anatomically shaped last that relieves stress on muscles, bones, joints and ligaments, the removable footbed also provides the option to wear your own orthotics if needed.
KEEN PRESIDIO II MJ
If you work in an industry that requires black, sturdy shoes, the KEEN PRESIDIO MJ is a great option. The metatomical EVA footbed itself is anatomically engineered to provide excellent arch support and cradle the natural contours of the foot, but you also have the ability to insert your own orthotics if you preferred. It is also made with a premium full-grain leather upper with Cleansport NXT™ for natural odour control.
We hope some of these orthotic friendly footwear suggestions help you in finding the perfect pair of shoes!
